An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
